Columbine, 2022

Columbine, 2022
I became fascinated by columbines a few years ago when I saw them in an illustration. I always thought they looked beautiful, but I had never seen one in person. When my partner and I moved into our first house together, I saw a few columbine plants at the local plant nursery and fell in love with them. They were pink and yellow and soft purple and white. I bought a few and planted them in a pot on our patio. I’ve come to think of columbines as representative of that time. A new beginning, a rebirth.
