When I was younger, honeysuckle grew on a tree line by the road in front of my house. In spring and summer, we would play outside and pick the honeysuckle flowers. The smell and taste of the nectar always brings me back to those moments. Sometimes I’ll see a massive patch when I’m driving and get caught up in a memory. There is a certain freedom that rushes over me when I remember those times.
